On Monday evening, June 2, 2014, the Baltimore School of The Bible held its Eighty-First Annual Commencement Ceremony at Central Presbyterian Church in Towson, Maryland. The commencement address was given by Dr. Norman Manohar, President and Professor of Theology at Faith Theological Seminary. Dr. Manohar spoke from Jude 3-5, which reads,
“Beloved, although I was very eager to write to you about our common salvation, I found it necessary to write appealing to you to contend for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints. For certain people have crept in unnoticed who long ago were designated for this condemnation, ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our God into sensuality and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ. Now I want to remind you, although you once fully knew it, that Jesus, who saved a people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed those who did not believe.”
The passage was to encourage the graduates to stand firm on the foundation they have learned while at The Baltimore School of the Bible. The graduates earned certificates in one or two of the following programs; the Standard Church Ministries Certificate, the Foundation Church Ministries Certificate from The Evangelical Training Association, and/or Advance Church Ministries Certificate.
During the commencement, Willis C. Tomlin, President of The Baltimore School of the Bible, introduced Faith Theological Seminary’s new Baltimore School of the Bible Scholarship available to its graduates. The Baltimore School of the Bible Scholarship is available to qualified Baltimore School of the Bible graduates who transfer to Faith Theological Seminary. Scholarship recipients will be awarded $500 towards each year’s tuition. Thirty credits from BSB will be transferred into the Bachelor of Theology program at FTS, which is equivalent to one full year of education and over $9,000 in tuition savings. For more information, contact the FTS Director of Admission at firstname.lastname@example.org or (410) 323-6211 ext. 114.
